There are a lot of people that are going into article marketing, but most of them are making a lot of mistakes. If you are making mistakes right off the bat, then you’ll probably get discouraged and quit because you are not seeing results.

Well, I have done a lot of research and tried a lot of different things to see what would work the best to build a good optin list. Well, below are four things that have worked well for me.

1. Article marketing is meant to be time-consuming at the beginning. You are going to have to take time to sit down and write a bunch of articles. And I’m not talking about just 10 articles. I mean you should write about a 100 to 200. Too many people only write a few articles and wonder why they are not finding success. Well, you are never going to be a successful article marketer writing a few articles. You have got to write, write, and write some more. And if you have some extra money you can pay for some cheap writers.

2. You also need to do good Google keywords research. I see article marketer’s posting articles with keywords that were never well researched. First, they probably didn’t go and use Google keyword tool. And if they did thn they probably use the broad search. I always make sure to select the exact phrase so you actually know how many people search your exact phrase in Google every month.

Keyword research is not meant to be a difficult thing. Just make sure you do some sort of research with the Google keyword tool and that you are using the exact phrase. It will make a huge difference. One more thing, make sure to use your keywords phrase in the first sentence of your article. Google is loving it.

3. Use a good template. It is astonishing how terrible some of these articles are set up. You could be missing out on hundreds of leads and a lot of article marketer’s do not even know it. Here’s how I would set up an article:

Follow a System that Works

Paragraph (Recommend something to the people reading your article. This will be something you will give them once they optin. So you will want to link to your squeez page here.)

You’ll notice the following a system that works section is your resource box. You put nothing about yourself, you just recommend something to them. Obviously that has to do with what your article is about. Then when they go to your link they should be able to optin to your list to receive what you recommended to them. There are many places where you can get PLR ebooks for a couple of dollars so you can give it away free.

4. You’re Ezine articles should rank pretty good in search engines right away. However, if you really want to get good results then you’re going to have to get some backlinks. There are too many people that think that they will just rank high in Google. Maybe a couple of your articles will but not all of them.

The system is definitely very simple but like anything article marketing takes a lot of time. If you just put the work in, then you should see some good results in a couple months.
